Pop Art Masterpieces
From Andy Warhol to Roy Lichtenstein The word
masterpiece when referring to Pop Art tends to need to be loosely
applied. Art as ever is in the eye of the beholder.
There are a number of very important works by a range of artists that could be considered masterpieces. We could measure masterpiece by just how iconic an image has become and this can make a big difference. Andy Warhol, for instance, could rightly have been considered to have created a masterpiece when he printed the Campbell's Soup Can as below...Others would say there are a number of other paintings to choose from. could argue for days over what makes

them...
